Studio Riche Designs' participation at the 2nd Anual Dining by Design event was made possible thanks to Kortnei at Flowers by John Kent.

Tablescape - Inside the Design

When designing for a client or even a table, every selection carries significance. In this instance, my aim was to remain true to the theme "Majesty of the French Quarter" in the most elegant manner possible, opting for a sort of classic approach. I desired a regal yet simple look, beginning with a purple velvet tablecloth to establish the ambiance. Purple, symbolizing royalty, is complemented by gold accents. As I curated the table pieces, everything began to fall into place effortlessly.

The dinnerware and glassware were found at antique shops, the flatware belongs to a dear friend and the napkins are a cherished possession of an 87-year-old lady, passed down from her grandmother. Each element on the table was intended to stand out individually, contributing to the overall composition. Even the acrylic Chiavari chairs!

The place cards, made by yours truly, were crafted to evoke a bygone era. I wanted each person on my table to feel extra special so I had each of their names printed with a calligraphy font.  I finished them off with a wax stamp and a bow. For the floral arrangements, Kortnei and I agreed on a timeless combination of whites, greens, and a hint of blush for a touch of elegance.

I hope you enjoyed it.

Warm regards,

Regina Correa
